The listings below are in alphabetical order by title. Students are advised to have their transcript available when completing the online TEACH account creation and application process. The TEACH online application requires you to provide your years of attendance and your graduation date. If you already have an Initial teaching certificate in this title and are applying for your Professional certificate in the same title, please choose: "Pathway: Approved Teacher Prep Program – Certificate Progression". If you already have an Initial teaching certificate, please choose: "Pathway: Approved Teacher Prep Program – Additional Certificate". If this is your very first teaching certificate application, then choose: "Pathway: Approved Teacher Preparation Program". Important: There are several "Approved Teacher Preparation Program Pathways" to choose from. Please also refer to SUNY Cortland’s Teacher Certification page for additional guidance and support. Questions regarding degree conferral and institutional recommendations may be addressed to Registrar's Office. If you need help navigating the system, or you are pursuing an alternate pathway, please contact Career Services for assistance. If you need technical support for the TEACH system, refer to the TEACH Help Documents or contact the Office of Teaching Initiatives. If you are seeking undergraduate and graduate program codes, you will be required to obtain student information sheets for both programs. Select the level of the degree you are pursuing from the lists below. Applicants must select the "Emergency COVID-19” as the certificate type during the application process in TEACH. Please review the NYSED guidance and instructions. NYSED has issued guidance for obtaining emergency certificates in educational leadership services (School Building Leader, School District Leader, School District Business Leader).
